Tallinn Shipyard, a subsidiary of BLRT Grupp, is the first company in the Baltic states to be awarded such a prominent prize, which is given to organisations that effectively implement risk minimisation and safety programmes.

Andrejus Babachinas, Head of BLRT Repair Yards, commented on the triumph of the Tallinn Shipyard team. “It is a great honour for us to receive this award, especially if we take into account the other esteemed nominees in this category. We are very pleased that the efforts Tallinn Shipyard and BLRT Grupp have been making in meeting customer needs have been recognised. The presence of the necessary equipment and infrastructure at the shipyard contributes to our ability to repair and modernise ships.”

He also expressed confidence that security is foremost. It is related to the people who work and visit the companies of the group, as well as the environment and ecology as a whole.

“Among other things, BLRT Grupp shipyards in Estonia, Lithuania and Finland implement environmental projects, such as the installation of scrubbers and ballast water treatment systems. Overall, the group invests significantly in expanding its activities,” concluded the Head of BLRT Repair Yards.
