Scholarships from BLRT Foundation, awarding scholarships to support higher education, were presented within the framework of the scholarship competition held annually by the Estonian National Culture Foundation. Amount of scholarships totalled 6,000 euros.

In 2018, for the scholarship of BLRT Foundation applied altogether five students, three of which were chosen by the Administrative Board. Scholarships in amount of 2,000 euros were awarded to:

Oleg Sirotjuk, studying Equipment and Technology of Welding Production at the correspondence department of the Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University;

Ayrton Hüüs, studying the specialty of Marine Engineer at the Maritime Academy of Tallinn Technical University;

Ruslan Džukajev, studying Manufacturing Engineering at the Virumaa College of Tallinn Technical University.

“For a long time, the shortage of engineering personnel has been a subject of discussion, and in the future this problem can seriously hamper development of the Estonian economy. Our scholarships are established with the purpose of motivating young specialists to receive a specialized education. We understand an importance of support of future specialists and we want to make a contribution to formation of tomorrow's professionals,” says Karina Kond, Communications Director of BLRT Grupp, the member of the Administrative Board of the Foundation.

BLRT Foundation was established in 2012 within the framework of the Estonian National Cultural Foundation by BLRT Grupp. Students could apply for scholarships in engineering, ship repair, shipbuilding, foundry, welding, offshore industry and production organization. This year, economics and information technologies were added to already listed specialties.

Earlier, in November, BLRT Grupp awarded two scholarships of 2,000 euros each to students of Tallinn Technical University.
